Soldering and Crimping Technician

💲 Pay Rate: $18.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)
📅 Schedule: Monday – Friday (Overtime and weekends as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Soldering and Crimping Technician to assemble, wire, and inspect electrical and electronic components. The ideal candidate will have experience with hand soldering, wire crimping, cable assembly, and interpreting work instructions while maintaining high-quality production standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform hand soldering of wires, connectors, terminals, and electronic components.

  • Crimp wires, terminals, and connectors according to specifications.

  • Assemble cable harnesses, wiring assemblies, and electrical components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.

  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.

  • Use hand tools, crimping tools, soldering irons, wire strippers, and testing equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair soldered and crimped connections as needed.

  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

  • Follow all safety procedures and quality control requirements.

  • Keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • Previous soldering and crimping experience required.

  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

  • Experience working with small parts and electrical components.

  • Ability to use measuring tools and testing equipment.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification preferred.

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or cable assembly.

  • Familiarity with quality inspection procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

  • Frequent use of hands for detailed assembly work.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

  • Strong visual acuity for inspecting small components and connections.

  • Manufacturing or production environment.

  • Fast-paced setting with a strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity.
